Stunt Driving Incident in Kirkland Lake Leads to Arrest and Major Drug Seizure
In a dramatic turn of events on the early morning of October 19, 2025, a traffic stop for stunt driving on Highway 11 in Kirkland Lake led to significant arrests and a substantial drug seizure. The incident unfolded around 2:50 a.m. when officers initiated a traffic stop on the speeding vehicle. Upon approaching the driver, they detected a strong smell of cannabis, prompting a search of the vehicle. What they discovered was alarming: suspected cocaine, heroin, ketamine, and fentanyl with a combined street value exceeding $46,700.
In addition to the drugs, police seized brass knuckles, 42 SIM cards, seven checkbooks, and more than $4,400 in cash, including both Canadian and U.S. currency.
