Serious Three-Vehicle Collision in Warwick Township Sends Two to Hospital

On December 1, 2025, Warwick Township became the scene of a troubling three-vehicle collision that has prompted an ongoing investigation by the Lambton County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The incident occurred just before 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Confederation Line and Forest Road, highlighting the importance of road safety in our communities.

According to the OPP report, the collision involved two passenger vehicles and a pickup truck. The driver of one of the passenger vehicles was airlifted to hospital via ORNGE air ambulance with what were initially deemed life-threatening injuries. Thankfully, a later update confirmed that these injuries have been downgraded to non-life-threatening, providing some relief to family and friends concerned for their well-being. A passenger in the same vehicle also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The driver of the pickup truck was treated at the scene for minor injuries, while remarkably, all four occupants of the second passenger vehicle emerged unscathed.

In the wake of the accident, Confederation Line was closed between Bear Creek Crescent and Stewardson Road for approximately five hours, causing significant traffic delays for residents and commuters alike. The road has since reopened, allowing traffic to flow normally once more.

The OPP has stated that their investigation is ongoing, and they are urging anyone with information that might assist in their inquiries to come forward. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers present on our roads and the importance of safe driving practices, particularly as we navigate the busy holiday season ahead.

As Canadians, we take pride in our communities, and incidents like this highlight the need for vigilance on the road. The OPP encourages all drivers to remain alert and practice safe driving behaviors to prevent such accidents in the future.

As the investigation unfolds, our thoughts remain with those affected by this collision, and we urge everyone to stay safe during their travels.
