In a significant law enforcement operation, a 21-year-old man from Mississauga has been charged with drug trafficking following a collision on Highway 417 in Ottawa. The incident occurred just before 4:00 p.m. on December 1, when officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to the scene of a vehicular collision near Maitland.

Upon arrival, police found that one of the drivers involved in the crash exhibited signs of careless driving. After assessing the situation, officers arrested Jayden Dunkley at the scene. However, the situation escalated when a search of Dunkley’s vehicle revealed a large quantity of illegal drugs.
