Quinte West Man Charged with Drug-Impaired Driving After Vehicle Found Parked in Intersection
In a recent incident highlighting ongoing concerns about impaired driving in Ontario, a 41-year-old man from Quinte West has been charged with operation while impaired by drug. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Quinte West Detachment responded to a call on Friday, November 28, 2025, reporting a vehicle parked in the middle of an intersection.
Upon arriving at the scene around 10:00 a.m., officers found Matthew Saunders behind the wheel of the vehicle. Following standard procedure, he was arrested and taken to the detachment for testing, which confirmed the suspicion of drug impairment.
