Bracebridge Resident Charged with Impaired Driving After Public Alert


In a concerning reminder of the dangers on our roads, a 36-year-old man from Gravenhurst has been charged with impaired driving after a vigilant member of the public raised an alarm about his erratic driving in Bracebridge. The incident occurred in the early hours of November 3, 2025, prompting a swift response from the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

According to police reports, the OPP received a call around 1:45 a.m. regarding a vehicle being operated unsafely on Taylor Road. Officers quickly located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Following standard procedure, they assessed the situation and subsequently arrested Zachary Passmore, who now faces charges of Impaired Operation - Over 80.

Passmore is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 16, 2025, to address these serious charges. This incident sheds light on the persistent issue of impaired driving within the Muskoka region, an area known for its scenic roads but also for the risks associated with driving under the influence.
