The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a weapons call on November 4, 2025, around 7:14 p.m. at a residence on Barrie Road, where they discovered evidence of a serious altercation.

Upon arrival, officers found signs of a violent disturbance. Reports indicated that two suspects had assaulted an individual inside the home using a staple gun and a guitar. After fleeing the scene, the suspects returned moments later and forcibly re-entered the residence, escalating the situation.
