OPP Seek Public Help to Locate Federal Offender Zlalame Alemu in Greater Toronto Area
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are on the lookout for a federal offender who is wanted for breaching his Statutory Release. Zlalame Alemu, 38, has been issued a Canada Wide Warrant and authorities are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
Alemus is described as a black male, standing 5’6” (168 cm) tall and weighing approximately 142 lbs (64 kg). He has black hair, brown eyes, a receding hairline, and a full beard. He is known to frequent various locations across the Greater Toronto Area, which includes cities such as Burlington, Mississauga, and Whitby.
This individual is not a stranger to the justice system. Alemu is currently serving a sentence of 2 years and 1 month for serious offences, including assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with an order while unlawfully at large.
The OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad is working diligently to locate Alemu and bring him back into custody. The public’s assistance is vital in such cases, as community tips can significantly aid law enforcement in apprehending wanted individuals.
