Fatal Collision in St. Clair Township Claims Life of London Resident
In a tragic incident that shook the community, a two-vehicle collision in St. Clair Township, Ontario, has resulted in the death of a 51-year-old man from London. The accident occurred on the afternoon of November 6, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 40 and Courtright Line.
Emergency responders, including members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the St. Clair Township Fire Department, and Lambton County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), rushed to the scene. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, highlighting the grave consequences that can arise from traffic incidents.
The collision involved a minivan and a passenger vehicle, each carrying a driver and a passenger. While the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, three other individuals involved were transported to the hospital with injuries that, thankfully, were deemed non-life-threatening.
Following the collision, both the southbound and northbound lanes of Highway 40 were closed between Oil Springs Line and Moore Line for several hours to facilitate a thorough investigation.
