Eden Man Charged with Impaired Driving After Traffic Stop in Tillsonburg

In the early hours of October 31, 2025, an individual from Eden, Ontario, found himself in hot water with the law after a traffic stop led to multiple impaired driving charges. Daniel Myny, 24, was pulled over by the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) around 1:30 a.m. on Adams Avenue when officers observed his vehicle driving erratically.

Impaired driving remains a serious concern on Ontario’s roads, and this incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol. Myny was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol, operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

As part of the consequences of his actions, Myny is facing a 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days, as mandated by law. After being released from custody, he is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on December 2, 2025.

The OPP emphasizes that impaired driving not only endangers the driver but also puts other road users at risk. They encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any instances of impaired driving immediately. Whether you’re a seasoned driver or a newcomer on the roads, everyone’s safety hinges on responsible choices behind the wheel.

This incident serves as a reminder to all Ontario residents, particularly as we head into the winter months, to prioritize safety on the roads. With holiday celebrations around the corner, it is crucial to avoid driving after consuming alcohol or drugs.

If you witness dangerous or impaired driving, the OPP urges you to take action by calling 911 in emergency situations or 1-888-310-1122 for non-emergencies. By working together, we can all contribute to safer roadways throughout our communities.

As Canadians, we take pride in our commitment to safety and responsible behaviour, especially on our bustling roadways. Let this incident be a learning opportunity for all as we navigate the challenges of the season ahead.
