Listowel Woman Arrested for Impaired Driving in Fergus
In a recent incident underscoring the importance of road safety, a 35-year-old woman from Listowel has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to impaired driving. The arrest was made by the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on October 26, 2025, after officers received a public complaint about a vehicle exhibiting signs of erratic driving.
At approximately 4:00 PM, while conducting proactive traffic enforcement in the area, OPP officers were alerted to a motor vehicle on St David Street in Fergus. Responding swiftly to the complaint, the officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
The investigation revealed that the driver, Rebecca Moore, was operating her vehicle while impaired by both alcohol and drugs. In addition to the impaired driving charge, Moore faces several other serious charges under the Criminal Code, including:
