BANCROFT, ON - In a concerning incident that underscores the ongoing battle against impaired driving, the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver with impaired operation following a vehicle collision on Friday night, October 24, 2025.

Just before 11:00 p.m., OPP officers responded to a collision on Highway 62 South in Limerick Township. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered that the driver was in need of assistance and had to be extricated from their vehicle by the Limerick Fire Department.
