Five Arrested After Pembroke Break and Enter: OPP Respond Swiftly

In the early hours of Thursday, October 23, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break and enter at a local business located in the 800 block of Pembroke Street East, Pembroke. The prompt response by the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment led to the swift apprehension of five suspects involved in the incident.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., officers rushed to the scene, only to find that the suspects had already fled. However, their escape was short-lived. • Obstruct peace officer

  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle

  • Break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

  • Mischief over $5000

In addition, Tahiamala-Atkinson has been charged with failing to comply with a release order, which adds further complications to his legal situation.

This incident highlights the ongoing issues of property crime within our communities and underscores the importance of vigilant policing. The OPP’s swift response not only apprehended the suspects but also serves as a reminder that law enforcement is actively working to ensure the safety and security of local businesses and residents alike.

As the investigation continues, the OPP encourages anyone with additional information regarding this incident to come forward. Community cooperation is vital in combating crime and fostering a safer environment for all Canadians.
