In a proactive effort to enhance road safety, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) enforcement blitz in Clearview Township on October 23, 2025. This collaborative initiative, in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), aimed to address safety concerns related to commercial vehicles on our roads.

During the three-hour blitz, officers from the Huronia West Detachment inspected six commercial motor vehicles operating in the vicinity of 12-13 Sideroad Nottawasaga and Highway 26. The enforcement operation did not stop there. A total of 29 charges were laid against the operators of these vehicles. The violations included issues such as insecure loads, brake system defects, overweight vehicles, and improper documentation.
