At approximately 10:45 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from the Wellington Detachment were dispatched to the scene of a collision involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a tractor trailer at the intersection of Wellington Road 21 and Eighth Line, located south of Inverhaugh. Emergency services arrived swiftly to assess the situation and provide necessary medical assistance.

The driver of the SUV sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. Thankfully, the driver of the tractor trailer was not injured and was assessed on the scene.

Following an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision, a 41-year-old man from Acton has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving.
