Two-Vehicle Collision on Wellington Road 21 Leaves Multiple Injured in Centre Wellington


A serious two-vehicle collision took place on Wellington Road 21 at the intersection with Eighth-Line East in Centre Wellington Township on the morning of October 15, 2025. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with local emergency services, were dispatched to the scene shortly after the accident was reported around 10:45 a.m.

Initial reports indicate that multiple individuals sustained injuries and have been transported to a local hospital for assessment. The exact number of injured occupants is still being determined, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.

As a result of the incident, several road closures have been implemented to ensure the safety of the emergency responders and facilitate the investigation. The following routes are currently closed to traffic:

  • Wellington Road 21 from Eighth Line West to Weisenberg (West Side)

  • Eighth Line West to Sixth Line East (East Side)

  • Eighth Line to Sideroad 10

The entire intersection remains closed as crews work to clear the area and remove the vehicles involved. Efforts are being made to reopen the intersection as quickly as possible once the cleanup is complete.

The OPP is asking for assistance from the public. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or possesses relevant information, including dashcam footage, is encouraged to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.
