18-Year-Old Charged with Dangerous Driving in Tillsonburg Dirt Bike Incident
An 18-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences in connection with a dangerous driving incident involving dirt bikes in Tillsonburg, Ontario. This event has prompted the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to intensify their efforts to identify three other individuals who fled the scene.
The incident unfolded on Monday, October 13, 2025, around 4:43 PM when the OPP’s Oxford Detachment received several 9-1-1 calls reporting a group of individuals operating dirt bikes recklessly in the vicinity of Concession Street East and King Street. Witnesses described the driving as dangerous, prompting immediate police response.
Officers arrived on the scene and quickly located the group of dirt bikers near Hardy Avenue. While one individual, identified as Matthijs Heerschap from Oxford County, was apprehended without incident, the remaining three suspects managed to escape.
