Collision on Bruce Road 1 Involves Farm Tractor, Leaves Driver Airlifted to Trauma Centre
A serious collision occurred on Bruce Road 1 in Huron-Kinloss late Monday evening, involving a farm tractor and a pickup truck with a trailer. The incident took place shortly after 8:30 PM, prompting immediate response from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Bruce County Paramedic Services, and Huron-Kinloss Fire & Emergency Services.
According to the OPP, both vehicles were travelling northbound on Bruce Road 1 when the pickup truck struck the tractor from behind. The driver of the tractor, a 29-year-old man from Kincardine, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a trauma centre in London for urgent medical treatment.
The collision led to the closure of Bruce Road 1 between Bruce Road 6 and Grey Ox Avenue, affecting local traffic. Authorities worked diligently to clear the scene and conduct their investigation, which remains ongoing. As of now, no charges have been laid in connection with the incident.
