The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating two separate break and enter incidents that targeted local restaurants in Orangeville, Ontario, on October 3, 2025.

In the first incident, police responded to a call from a restaurant near 400 Townline. The suspect or suspects broke in by smashing a glass door and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from a money box. This break-in is believed to have occurred between 9:30 PM on October 2 and 6:30 AM on October 3.

Shortly after the first incident, another restaurant on Armstrong Street fell victim to a similar crime. Again, a glass door was smashed, and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from a money box. This second break and enter is also thought to have taken place in the early morning hours of October 3.
