OPP Seek Public's Help to Identify Suspects in Wasaga Beach Stabbing Incident
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Huronia West Detachment is investigating a stabbing incident that took place in Wasaga Beach during the early hours of October 10, 2025. Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in the altercation.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., OPP and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to a report of a male who had been stabbed with an edged weapon. The incident occurred near the intersection of River Road West and Pauline Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the suspects had entered the victim’s home, leading to a confrontation that ended with the victim sustaining injuries.
The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Thankfully, his condition does not appear to be critical.
Despite a thorough search of the area by the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine (K-9) unit, the suspects were not located. This has raised concerns within the community, prompting police to reassure residents that they believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
The suspects involved in the altercation are described as follows: the first suspect is a white male with a buzz cut, dressed in jeans, a dark sweater, and wearing a toque. The second suspect is a female with tanned skin, black hair, and identifiable tattoos on her arm.
As the investigation continues, OPP officials are urging anyone with information or surveillance camera footage related to the incident to come forward. The cooperation of the community is vital in assisting police to ensure accountability and safety in the region.
