Pembroke Woman Charged with Impaired Driving Following Highway 17 Collision
A 40-year-old woman from Pembroke, Jasmine Sherban, has been charged with impaired operation following a collision on Highway 17. This incident occurred on the night of October 7, 2025, just before 10:00 p.m., near the intersection of Highway 17 and Sawmill Road.
According to the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers responded promptly to the scene of the collision, where two vehicles were involved. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the crash. However, one of the drivers, identified as Sherban, was transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.
As a consequence of the incident, Sherban has had her driver’s licence suspended for 90 days. Additionally, her vehicle was towed and impounded for a period of seven days. She has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on November 4, 2025.
