OPP Investigates Theft of Tools and Skid Steer in Southgate
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are actively investigating a theft that took place in Southgate Township, Grey County. The incident occurred between the evening of October 3 and the morning of October 6, 2025, at a property located on Townline Artemesia.
According to police reports, unknown suspects managed to gain access to a shipping container on the property. The container was notably obstructed by a Terex PT-60 skid steer, which was also reported stolen. This particular skid steer is marked with the distinctive words “bumble bee.”
In addition to the skid steer, a number of valuable items were reported stolen during the incident. These include a grapple attachment, two chainsaws—a Husqvarna 550 and a Stihl 362—and a Dynamic socket set, among various other tools. The total value of the stolen goods has yet to be assessed, but the theft represents a significant loss for the property owner.
The investigation is ongoing as police work to gather evidence and identify any leads in the case.
