The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a serious disturbance that took place during a football game at Humberview Secondary School in Caledon on Friday, October 3, 2025. The event, part of the school’s 50th anniversary celebrations, turned chaotic shortly after 8:00 p.m., prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

Police were already on-site for the game when they were alerted to a large gathering of students that escalated into disorder. Witnesses reported that pepper spray was deployed in the crowd, resulting in at least two individuals requiring treatment from Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for exposure to the chemical irritant. Furthermore, one youth was transported to the hospital with serious injuries sustained during a physical altercation that broke out among attendees.

As the situation deteriorated, additional officers were dispatched to the scene to manage the growing number of incidents, which included reports of weapons and further fights both within and around the school grounds. In a concerning turn of events, a youth was detained after police found them in possession of a knife; however, they were later released after it was confirmed they were not involved in the disturbances.
