Orangeville Man Charged After Fleeing Collision and Striking Police Cruiser
An Orangeville man is facing serious charges following an impaired driving incident that took a bizarre turn on October 3, 2025. Gagandeep Brar, 38, has been charged with multiple offences after he fled from a collision and subsequently reversed into a police cruiser while attempting to evade law enforcement.
Around 11:00 p.m., officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a fail-to-remain motor vehicle collision in the area of Sherwood Street in Orangeville. Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle and attempted to get the driver’s attention. In a reckless move, Brar reversed directly into a fully marked police cruiser.
