Ingersoll Man Charged with Assault and Threats Following Domestic Disturbance


On October 3, 2025, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a residence on Thames Street South in Ingersoll, Ontario. The incident escalated to the point where police were called to intervene.

Joshua Tackaberry, a 41-year-old resident of Ingersoll, was arrested and subsequently charged with two serious offenses: assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. Thankfully, no injuries were reported as a result of the altercation, which is a relief given the nature of the charges.

After being taken into custody, Tackaberry was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on December 9, 2025.
