The incident, which took place on August 4, 2025, has led to the arrests of two young men, while authorities continue to search for a third suspect.

Shortly before 11:30 PM on that fateful night, officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment responded to reports of flames engulfing the restaurant located on James Street. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing two men hastily leaving the area, prompting an immediate investigation.

Thanks to the diligent efforts of front-line officers and members of the Hawkesbury OPP Crime Unit, authorities were able to identify and arrest the suspects. Both men now face serious charges of arson, a crime that carries significant penalties in Canada. The OPP have not disclosed whether the suspects had any prior criminal records or what motivated the attack on the pizza restaurant, which is a staple in the community known for its local flavour.

In addition to the two arrests, a warrant has been issued for a third individual believed to be involved in the incident. The OPP have not released the name of this suspect, but local residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any information that could assist in capturing the individual.
