Impaired Driver Arrested in Kincardine: Kristen Magrath Charged with DUI

In the early hours of September 30, 2025, a routine check by the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) led to the arrest of a woman for impaired driving in Kincardine. At approximately 12:49 a.m., an officer patrolling Bruce Road 20 noticed a vehicle parked on the roadside and decided to investigate.

Upon approaching the vehicle and speaking with the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment. This prompted the officer to place the driver under arrest and transport her for further testing, a standard procedure in such cases.

The driver, identified as Kristen Magrath, a 41-year-old resident of London, Ontario, has been charged with operation while impaired under the Criminal Code of Canada, section 320.14(1)(a). The arrest highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to tackle impaired driving, a serious issue that poses risks to public safety on the roads.

Magrath is scheduled to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on November 12, 2025, where she will face the charges against her. The OPP is urging anyone with additional information regarding the incident to come forward.

Impaired driving remains a significant concern in communities across Ontario, with law enforcement committed to ensuring the safety of all road users. The consequences of impaired driving are severe, and the OPP continues to emphasize the importance of making responsible choices behind the wheel.
