Brampton Man Charged with Impaired Driving in Kawartha Lakes After Traffic Complaint
A routine traffic complaint in the early hours of Wednesday, October 1, 2025, resulted in multiple charges for a Brampton man in the City of Kawartha Lakes. Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a vehicle that was reportedly stopped in a live lane of traffic on King Street in Woodville.
At approximately 2:02 AM, police arrived on the scene to find the vehicle in question. Upon further investigation, they suspected the driver of being impaired. The investigation led to the arrest of 45-year-old Vivek Malhotra, who now faces five significant charges under the Criminal Code of Canada.
