Fatal Motorcycle Collision at Highway 6 and Upper James St in Hamilton Claims Life of Norfolk County Man


A two-vehicle collision late Tuesday night has left a Norfolk County man dead following a crash involving his motorcycle and a transport truck at the intersection of Highway 6 and Upper James St in Hamilton.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that the incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on September 30, 2025. According to preliminary information, the motorcycle was travelling southbound on Upper James St when it collided with a transport truck that was turning left from Highway 6.

Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, the driver of the motorcycle, a 44-year-old male, was transported to hospital with critical injuries. Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The transport truck driver remained on the scene and was reported to be unharmed. As investigations continue, the OPP’s Highway Safety Division has not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers present on our roads, particularly at busy intersections. The OPP is urging all drivers to exercise caution and stay vigilant, especially during evening hours when visibility may be reduced.
