The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are appealing to the public for assistance in an ongoing investigation following a shooting incident in Clearview Township, Ontario. This alarming event occurred on August 15, 2025, just before 10:00 a.m. on a property located near Highway 26 on 15/16 Side Road.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers from the Huronia West Detachment found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Thankfully, the injuries were not life-threatening, and the individual was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to investigators, the shooting appears to have stemmed from a verbal altercation. It is believed that two suspects arrived at the property in a dark-coloured sedan—a 2011 to 2018 Volkswagen Jetta or Passat—before one of the individuals, identified as the passenger, shot the victim. Following the shocking incident, both suspects fled the scene, raising concerns in the local community.

In an effort to advance the investigation, the OPP have released a video and a sketch of the primary suspect. The passenger is described as a white male with a lighter complexion and sandy brown hair. Authorities have not yet disclosed the full details regarding the second suspect, but they continue to gather information that may lead to their identification.
