Otterville Woman Charged with Impaired Driving After Traffic Complaint in Tillsonburg
In the early hours of September 21, 2025, the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver near Broadway Road in Tillsonburg. The swift action taken by the police highlights their commitment to ensuring the safety of all road users in Ontario.
Officers patrolling the area quickly located the vehicle in question. Upon further investigation, they charged 31-year-old Emily Galvao, a resident of Otterville, with two serious offences: Operation while Impaired - Alcohol and Operation while Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus).
In addition to the charges, Galvao faces a 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and her vehicle was impounded for seven days, in accordance with provincial statutes. After being processed, she was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock at a later date.
