Haldimand County Man Charged After Assaulting Officer During Public Intoxication Incident in Simcoe

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, at approximately 2:12 p.m., officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a report regarding a suspected intoxicated individual on North Main Street in Simcoe. Upon arrival, officers located the man, later identified as Brendan Jones, and took him into custody without incident.
